Transportation Options for Older Americans Month

Are you looking to attend Older Americans Month events but need help with transportation? Check out these options from our community partners:

RTC FlexRIDE

  • Free rides for seniors 60+ on FlexRIDE vans (Sparks/Spanish Springs) until June 30, 2024.
  • Cost: $1.50 for a day pass for seniors 60+ (North Valleys, Northwest Reno, South Reno starting May 2024).
  • Purchase tickets via the RTC mobile Token Transit app or at local stores (9th Street Senior Center, Save Mart, WinCo, Smiths).
  • Schedule rides: rtcwashoe.com/flexride or call 775-335-0035.
  • For ticket purchases: Call 775-348-0477.

RTC Senior Ride/Taxi Bucks/Lyft/Uber

  • $60 per month in free taxi rides for seniors 60+, veterans, or ACCESS clients (any age) in Washoe County.
  • Option to use $60 for Lyft or Uber instead of taxis (does not roll over).
  • Apply in person at RTC’s 4th Street Reno terminal.

Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada (N4)

  • $80 in free Lyft rides for seniors 60+ within Washoe County.
  • Another $80 available for $40; for people with disabilities (any age), $40 for $80 in Lyft rides.

  • Free transportation for Medicare recipients to medical appointments, pharmacies, and groceries.

  • Free transportation for Washoe residents 60+ within 15 miles of UNR’s main campus for medical appointments, groceries, and errands.
